My Folding Bike Adventure with Banian
In December 2020, amidst the pandemic, I purchased the D10 Travel Banian folding bike from Cool Stuff 168. Priced at 19,980, this lightweight and compact bike has been my trusted companion for various adventures. Today, I want to share my experience with this folding bike, its specifications, and why it’s a great choice for those on a budget.
The D10 Travel Banian boasts a 10-speed LTW aluminum frame and fork, equipped with a LTWOO A7 trigger shifter and RD for smooth gear changes. Tektro brake levers and Zoom mechanical disc brakes ensure reliable stopping power. With its Banian stem, seatpost, and saddle, as well as the Banian wheelset and crankset, this folding bike offers a cohesive and reliable riding experience. Weighing in at just 11.7kgs, it strikes a balance between portability and performance.
During my rides, I found the D10 Travel Banian to be comfortable and well-suited for urban commuting and short to moderate rides. However, during longer rides, I experienced some discomfort with the saddle, which resulted in minor discomfort. If you decide to purchase this bike, I recommend considering a saddle upgrade for improved long-distance comfort. Nevertheless, the bike’s other components functioned flawlessly, making it a reliable choice for those on a tight budget.
I have taken my folding bike on numerous adventures, including rides in Laguna, Moa, and even to Daranak Falls. Throughout these journeys, the D10 Travel Banian proved itself to be a dependable and affordable folding bike. It easily navigated various terrains and provided a smooth and enjoyable riding experience. I encountered no significant issues, confirming its reliability and suitability for outdoor adventures.
Whether you’re exploring the city streets or venturing into nature, the D10 Travel Banian is a worthwhile investment for an enjoyable and convenient cycling experience.
